The Town Council consists of 16 elected members who serve for a four-year term of office. The Town is divided into 2 wards, Mill Ward and Brook Ward, and there are 16 elected members serving on the Town Council and 5 elected members serving on South Northants Council. Main council meetings are held in the Town Hall on the second Monday of the month and the attendance of members of the public is welcomed. The Council administers the Town Hall, a fine Victorian building situated in a prominent position on the Market Square. In addition to office space, the main hall is let to the public for cultural and recreational events and also hosts a weekly market.

Towcester Town Council maintains all green spaces and play areas in the town including the St. Lawrence Churchyard, the Recreation Ground, Belle Baulk, The Shires and the Brackley Road Cemetery. They act as trustees of the Towcester Community Centre, Islington Road, which serves as a venue for a variety of local clubs and organisations. For further information relating to other services offered by the Town Council, please contact the Town Clerk, Dianne Isaacs, at the above address who will be happy to give advice and assistance.
