Situated in North West Kent and only
17 miles from London, Swanley is a developing town greatly
changed in recent years from orchards and nurseries
to a thriving residential area catering largely for
commuters and providing local jobs in light industry
and offices.
The administrative area of the parish
consists of Swanley, Hextable and Swanley Village, three
places with definite identities of their own but forming
a caring and positive community.
The area has excellent communication links and is
within easy reach of the Channel Ports, 25 minutes by
rail from London Victoria and situated at junction 3
of the M25. The Dartford River Crossing and all parts
of the country are easily accessible.
