Boating There are several marinas in St. Neots offering long-term moorings to boat owners, and some have boats for hire. Additionally there are well-marked public moorings along the river banks within the town’s boundaries. The ones closest to the town centre are always the most popular and offer either moorings at pontoons, piled river banks or at the grassy banks of the river.

Rowing is a sport for which St. Neots is justly famous and the Annual Regatta in July brings rowers from far and wide to test their skills on the reach of the river in the town centre.

Fishing Coarse fishing is extremely popular and much of the river is available for fishing to visitors. Other areas are controlled by the many fishing clubs who grant day fishing permits to visitors. Rod licenses are available from the Post Offices in St. Neots and Eaton Socon. Chubb, roach, bream, perch and pike live in the river. Nearby is Grafham water, nationally known for its trout fishing.

Walking The Ouse Valley Way was inaugurated during 2004 and offers a wide variety of scenery and places of interest along its length. It is well signposted and there are ample places to stop and rest and stay the night along its length. Other interesting walks can be taken through the parks and Paxton Pits nature reserve.

Entertainment The Priory Centre is the focal point for social activity and entertainment. There are excellent facilities for dances, concerts, theatrical productions, bingo, conferences, exhibitions and trade fairs. The St. Neots Folk Festival in May is one of the highlights in the calendar and the pantomime and other drama productions should not be missed.
