st neots fire station

St Neots Fire Station is crewed by wholetime (full time) firefighters Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm. Outside of these hours and at weekends, firefighters on the retained duty system are on call to crew the fire engines and respond to emergencies.

Retained firefighters are a vital part of Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service in both dealing with incidents and carrying out important community safety activities.

All firefighters at St Neots, both wholetime and retained, are committed to educating and informing the public about fire safety and road safety in a bid to prevent injury and death in fires and on the road.

The firefighters visit a wide range of groups to give talks and advice or invite people in to the fire station. These can range from Neighbourhood watch meetings and church groups to Scouts, nursery schools and coffee mornings for the elderly.

If you run any kind of group or social club and would like firefighters to visit to talk about or discuss fire safety issues, please ring the St Neots Fire Station on 01480 474601 during office hours. Talks can be tailored to suit the needs of your individual group.

Crews will also visit your home to give fire safety advice and fit a FREE smoke alarm if required. If you would like a FREE home fire risk assessment, or know someone who would benefit from one, contact the fire station and we will happily arrange a convenient date and time to visit. This is a completely FREE service and available to all residents in Cambridgeshire.
