Library

Petersfield Library (1981), in The Square, offers a friendly welcome to everyone. This free-to-join library offers a wide range of books, videos, DVDs and CDs - there is something for all tastes. Staff on the first floor are available to answer information enquiries, and have comprehensive coverage of the county’s school OFSTED reports, which includes all local schools and nursery groups. The people’s network computers offer free access to the internet, e-mail and Microsoft Office software.

A separate children’s library provides books for children of all ages, plus regular fun sessions for the under 5s and holiday activities for older children. There is a varied programme for adults too; talks, reading groups, cinema etc.

New extended opening hours are:-
Monday and Tuesday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Wednesday 9.00am - 7.00pm
Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 9.30am - 7.00pm
Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm
