Woodlands Health Centre

The Health Centre’s new building opened in May 2006. The building is shared by a number of health care professionals whose shared aim is to provide quality primary health Woodlands Health Centrecare services. These services are aimed at improving the health of the people of Paddock Wood in a way which enables them either to avoid becoming ill or where illness exists to assist individuals to maintain quality of living. Occasionally, when necessary, it is also our function to provide referral on to other health services.

Our regularly updated website, www.woodlandshealthcentre.org.uk , is proving to be a popular information resource of the services available.

Services provided include access to Doctors, Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors. Chiropody, Speech Therapy and Community Dentistry are also available and there are rooms for Counsellors, Clinical Psychologists and Community Psychiatric Nurses. The Health Education Room is the base for antenatal classes, parent craft classes and further education.

Further information can also be obtained about primary healthcare services form NHS West Kent via the website at www.

We would be delighted to consider offering space within the building for other primary care health services to be provided and we always look to improve the services that are available to the public in response to health needs.

We believe that we should continue to develop ourselves and we also have a long tradition of being a training practice with regular attachments for GP registrars, Student Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors and this will continue in the future.

Primary health care provision is always changing and developing and we believe that Paddock Wood now has a health centre to be proud of and one which will serve the community well while accommodating the developments in health care in the 21st century.
