A number of annual events attract thousands of townspeople and
visitors.
High Lee Park is the venue for two major events, the One World Festival
in June, celebrating a peaceful and sustainable environment, and
the Bonfire and firework display in November.
The New Mills Parade has a carnival parade of floats around the
town in June and the New Mills Festival has a fortnight of Arts
events in September ending with a spectacular lantern parade along
the Millennium Walkway.
The New Mills Operatic and Dramatic Society owns the Art Theatre
where it puts on major productions.
