Racing Welfare

Racing Welfare is the leading charity for all those who are working, or have worked, in the horse racing industry. This includes stud and stable staff, trainers, jockeys, racecourse employees, heath men, farriers and stalls handlers.

We have some two hundred and fifty permanent beneficiaries and assist financially another two hundred and fifty or so each year on a temporary basis. We also offer assistance and advice and on going support for seriously handicapped people and own over one hundred homes for working and retired staff, including some with nursing care on site.

Racing Welfare Racing Welfare’s mission is to take care of those in need across the racing and breeding industry by providing them not just with affordable housing and welfare, but also counselling and support for young people entering racing and possibly away from home for the first time, holiday schemes for the disabled and sport and leisure activities.

Money raised by us through events, provide essential funds to support some of the new projects in progress to provide support for all of racing’s workforce from the beginning of their careers through to retirement.

For further information, please contact Racing Welfare on 01638 560763 or e-mail to info@racingwelfare.co.uk
