Tattersalls

Tattersalls Park Paddocks is the headquarters of the world’s most famous bloodstock auctioneers.
.
Sale Ring Founded in the 18th century and originally based in London, Tattersalls offices moved to Newmarket in 1977. Some of the most significant thoroughbreds have been sold at Tattersalls.

There are ten sales held every year beginning in February.

You do not have to be a buyer or vendor to attend the sales, Visitors are very welcome to sit in the magnificent sale ring and watch the horses go under the hammer. There is a wide choice of catering outlets throughout the 48 acre site, where visitors can enjoy a drink in one of the bars or a more formal 3-course meal or a simple snack.
