Shopping in Newmarket

Shopping in NewmarketNewmarket is an attractive and thriving Market Town with an abundance of history and has something to offer everyone. The Town is ideal for strolling and browsing and aims to provide an enjoyable shopping experience.

The High Street runs the length of the Town with small and interesting pedestrianised lanes radiating from this. With a broad range of national, regional , independent and local shops, some of which have been established for generations, trading side by side. With easy and ample parking close to the town centre, and a warm welcome, shopping in Newmarket is a day to remember.

Newmarket has many restaurants, coffee shops, cafes and bars, to relax in and refresh during your visit.

Newmarket features a traditional market twice weekly, with a weekly Collectables Market in the Memorial Hall. Continental and Farmers Markets also figure in the annual calendar. The Tourist Information Centre, based in Palace House, is host to various cultural and art exhibitions throughout the year.

All of these experiences make a day in Newmarket a ‘dead cert’ for an interesting and pleasant day out.
