Newmarket Schools

Until 2012 Newmarket schools operate on a three tier school system.
.
Local Primary schools include All Saints, St Louis, Ditton Lodge, Laureate and Paddocks. Newmarket has two Middle Schools, St Felix and Scaltback, and one College and Sixth Form.
We are proud to say that all our local schools aim to teach at the highest level and form a great social basis for the children. All schools have a large variety of after school clubs.
Newmarket College To give a more detailed insight into our local schools, we have invited Newmarket College to list their aims:-

At Newmarket College we believe in Growing Success for young people. We prepare and equip our students for life, employment and careers in the 21st Century. Our aim is to provide students with the opportunities and support to be successful. We have developed a vibrant and relevant curriculum at GCSE and in the Forest Heath 6th Form, in partnership with Mildenhall College of Technology. We have widely recognised excellent teaching and learning in traditional subjects, especially in English, History and Geography through their leadership of our Humanities specialism; but young people can also choose to study subjects such as catering, engineering, dance, photography, fashion, construction and horse care in our wide range of options.

We are a good and improving school and one of the most important areas that we are building is the sense of ownership, participation and leadership amongst our young people. Our watchword is I Belong. We take great pride in the contributions that our students make to the Newmarket Community and beyond. There is a tradition of charity fundraising for local, regional and international good causes. Ranging from £1,000 raised in a single concert for a local hospice, to young people travelling to Malawi and Morocco to refurbish primary schools. Our students take a leading role in local democracy through the Town Youth Council and the Forest Heath Young Peoples’ Forum. Do come and see and share in the music and drama performances of the young people of Newmarket at the College. They are spectacular!

We are Newmarket’s secondary school. Our school. Your school. We are a good school and getting better.
