Henfield Community Partnership is a non-statutory organisation established in 2005 working with or apart from Henfield Parish Council depending on the project. One of its great advantages is that it can access funding unavailable to the Council. To that end the Partnership has been successful in obtaining funding of around £100,000. Projects benefiting from these funds include The Henfield Community Minibus which commenced operating in 2007, the Skate Park at the Kings Field in Henfield and new information boards and signage strategically placed throughout the village. The Partnership also launched the highly successful Plastic Bag Free campaign that saw every household in the Parish receive a free cotton shopping bag: a saving of 1.2 million plastic bags in the village. The first Parish Plan produced by the Partnership has been completed and a new Community Action Plan is being implemented. More information can be found on www.henfieldcp.org
