Hatfield House, Park and Gardens
A stunning Jacobean house within its own Great Park where Elizabeth
1 spent much of her childhood. It has been the home of the Cecil
family for 400 years. There are magnificent gardens, nature trails,
a children’s play area, the national collection of model soldiers,
gift shop and a licensed restaurant.
Lord Salisbury allows residents in a defined area of Hatfield Parish
to walk in the park. Passes are available from Fore Street Lodge
(9-4, Mon - Fri). Evidence of residency and a passport photo are
required.
Open: Easter Saturday – 30 September.
House: Wednesday to Sunday & Bank Holidays, 12 noon –
5pm.
Park and Gardens: Daily 11am – 5.30pm
Events and Elizabethan Banquets are held throughout the year.

Mill Green Museum & Water Mill,

Mill Green Museum and Mill is a fully restored 18th century working
water mill. There are exhibitions, craft demonstrations, children’s
activities and special events.
Admission is free and it is open to the public:
Tuesday to Friday 10.00 – 5.00 & Saturday, Sunday &
Bank Holidays 2.00 – 5.00.
Milling Tuesday & Wednesday 10.30 – 12.30 and 1.30 –
3.30 - Sunday 2.00 – 4.30.
