
North Warren Sports Ground offers sporting facilities, which include
bowls, cricket, tennis, hockey and football. The premises are situated
in North Warren Road. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are available.
Marshalls Sports Ground on Middlefield Lane also offers outdoor
sporting facilities. There are three football pitches, two cricket
squares and a bowling green. Further information can be obtained

is a purpose built modern centre of local and regional importance.
It offers swimming, squash courts, four badminton courts, gymnastics
training hall, three rink bowls hall, health suite, incorporating
sauna, sunbeds, steam room, two fitness studios and gym, together

BOWLSFurther bowling greens can be found off Lea Road, (The Co-op

DANCE The Aegir Dance and Folk Dance Clubs can be found at North

FOOTBALLGainsborough Trinity Football Club is the premier football
club within the town being members of the Nationwide Conference
North soon to be renamed the Blue Square Conference. Trinity were
formed in 1873 and are one of the oldest football clubs in the region
and have a long and illustrious history. The clubs ground is the
Northolme which is situated close to the town centre and home matches
are usually played on either a Saturday afternoon or a Tuesday evening.
CRICKETThere are two cricket clubs within the town these being
Marshalls Cricket Club and Roses Cricket Club both of whom play
in the Bassetlaw Cricket League with Marshalls being in Division
1 and Roses in Division 5. Youth cricket is catered for by both
these clubs with training session held on a regular basis.
GOLFExcellent golf facilities are available at Gainsborough Golf
Club, which offers the choice of two eighteen hole courses set amongst
undulating Lincolnshire parkland complimented by mature woodland.
Spring 1997 heralded the opening of the Karsten Lakes course, designed
by Neil Coles, the former Ryder Cup Player, and as the course name
implies, water is a major feature with five lakes, and strategic
bunkering providing an ultimate challenge for golfers of all abilities.
ROWINGRowing facilities can be found with the Gainsborough Rowing

TABLE TENNIS
Table tennis can be enjoyed with the Aegir Table Tennis Club,
North Marsh Road; the Co-op T/T Club on the Co-op Sports ground;
the Liberal Branch T/T Club on Ropery Road and the Liberal T/T Club
on Trinity Street; and the United Services Club, Bridge Street.
TENNISTennis facilities are available with the Gainsborough Town
Tennis Club on Corringham Road.
The Gainsborough Town Tennis Club has a thriving and growing junior
membership with regular coaching courses being held at the club
for juniors.
