Recycling
When you’re away from home don’t forget to recycle

Whether you are holidaying for a week or two or simply visiting the Forest of Dean for the day, tourists and visitors alike can still recycle using the district’s mini bank facilities.

With over 30 sites across the district, including in the four main town centres, recycling is easy wherever you are. The majority of sites accept paper, glass, steel and aluminium cans and tins and plastic bottles, while larger sites have additional banks for foil, cardboard, textiles and shoes.

Recycling With an estimated 20 million tonnes of rubbish still going to landfill each year in the UK, there are many good reasons to recycle whether at home or away.

To find your nearest recycling banks, visit www.fdean.gov.uk for an up to date list or contact our customer services team on 01594 810000. Alternatively, why not visit the district’s Household Recycling Centre? Offering a convenient way to dispose of a wide range of recyclable materials, the centre is located at Broadwell, one mile north east of Coleford on the B4226.
