Edenbridge Town Council
Edenbridge Town Council consists of 15 members elected from
the two wards of the parish. A full list of councillors’
contact details is available from the Council office or from
the website www.edenbridgetc.kentparishes.gov.uk. Council
meetings are usually held on the 2nd Monday of every month
at Rickards Hall, behind the Museum in the High Street. There
is full disabled access and a hearing
loop. Various other committee meetings generally take place
on Mondays – lists of meeting dates and agendas are
posted on the Council’s notice boards and the website.
The Town Council is responsible for management of the cemetery,
parks, open spaces and many of the local sporting facilities
in the parish. It provides allotments and car parks, and is
also the local contact point for reporting street light faults,
and for the purchase of garden and recycling sacks. The Council
lets Rickards Hall for parties and local events, and Doggetts
Barn for small meetings. It also deals with bookings for Edenbridge
WI Hall, on behalf of the Hall Management Committee. Visitors
are welcome to visit the Town Council office at Doggetts Barn,
72A High Street, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, where a wealth
of information on Council business and local services can

Edenbridge was the first town in Kent to achieve Quality Status
and is a Fair Trade Town.
Sevenoaks District Council
Edenbridge is one of the parishes making up Sevenoaks District
Council and the town is represented by four elected members.
The District Council is responsible for planning control,
council tax, refuse collection and the issue of bus passes.
Currently, it has a small office adjacent to the Leisure Centre,
Stangrove Park,
from which is run a Planning Surgery, every other Thursday
between 10am - 12.30pm, and a weekly Benefits Surgery between
1.30 - 4pm.
Kent County Council
The County Council is responsible for
education, libraries, care services, transport and Public
Rights of Way. The town is represented by one county councillor.
Kent Highways Services
The authority deals with all highways issues relating to
pavements, verges, roads and road works.
Parliament Edenbridge lies within the parliamentary constituency
of Tonbridge & Malling. The current member of parliament
is the Rt Hon Sir John Stanley.
