Edenbridge Town Council consists of 15 members elected from the
two wards of the parish. Council meetings are usually held on the
2nd Monday of every month at Rickards Hall, behind the Museum in
the High Street. Various other committee meetings generally take
place on Mondays - lists of meeting dates and agendas are posted
on the Council’s notice boards and the website.
The Town Council is responsible for management of the cemetery,
parks, open spaces and many of the local sporting facilities in
the parish. It provides allotments and car parks, and
is also the local contact point for reporting street light faults,
and for the purchase of garden and recycling sacks. The Council
lets Rickards Hall for parties and local events, and Doggetts Barn
for small meetings. It also deals with bookings for Edenbridge WI
Hall, on behalf of the Hall Management Committee.
Visitors are welcome to visit the Town Council office at Doggetts
Barn, 72A High Street, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, where a wealth
of information on Council business and local services can be obtained.
Contact details can be found at the back.
Edenbridge was the first town in Kent to achieve Quality Status
and is a Fair Trade Town.
