It is many years since the publication of the last Town Guide.

Eastwood has seen many changes since that time; therefore we believe this is the perfect opportunity to launch this new edition of the Eastwood Town Guide.

I became Town Mayor in May 2006 and have already met many wonderful & inspiring people in and around our town. Our people represent what we believe to be Eastwood’s most valuable resource, some of whom are featured in this guide.

One of our recent achievements was to be awarded the Quality Council Award, the first Council in Nottinghamshire to achieve this status.

We are now also officially twinned with Szolnok in Hungary, which we hope, through school exchanges, cultural visits & local business involvement will benefit both communities.

I hope this Town Guide will be appreciated by all who read it and be regarded as a fair description of our town. It includes information of the facilities and amenities available and so become a useful reference to the town of Eastwood.
