The town of Crowborough lies on the A26, some eight miles south
of Royal Tunbridge Wells. It has a population of approximately 21,000,
an area of 2,597 acres and, at its highest point, is approximately
800 feet above sea level. The Parish Council, established on 6th
April 1905 was succeeded by the now Town Council, at a formal ceremony
held on 24th May 1988.
