Welcome to the Crowborough Official Guide
The Ghyll
The Ghyll, lovely woodlands in the centre of Crowborough

Dear visitor,
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the town of Crowborough.

Although Crowborough is one of the largest inland towns in East Sussex it benefits from its proximity to the beautiful Ashdown Forest, setting for the Pooh Bear stories.

The town has also had its share of famous residents, most notably Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes.

I hope that you will find this guide interesting, helpful and informative and that your visit to Crowborough will leave you with a lifetime of happy memories.

Cllr Neil Waller - Town Mayor
