Food, Drink, Shops and Accommodation

EATING AND DRINKING

Chapel-en-le-Frith has a remarkable number of restaurants, bistros and cafés for a town of its size - the cuisine at these acclaimed, very popular venues includes English, French, Italian, Indian and Chinese. Chapel’s historical importance as a stopping place on coaching routes means that there are lots of traditional pubs – they too offer fine food. All the hamlets in the parish have country pubs that provide drinking and dining in picturesque locations.

SHOPPING

Chapel-en-le-Frith has an excellent range of independent specialist shops in High Street, Cross Street, Market Place, Market Street, Thornbrook Road and Town End. The town centre has a Morrison’s supermarket, which includes a café and a petrol station, and Co-op and Londis supermarkets. Further shops are to be found in Dove Holes.
