Carterton Youth Council

The Youth Council is made up of young members of the community aged between 11 and 18 representing all the local schools and several other youth organisations. Regular meetings are held in Carterton Town Hall. The Youth Council enables young people in Carterton to have their say and gives them the opportunity to be involved in what happens in the town in which they live.

Carterton Youth Council:

• provides a voice for young people in Carterton Town Council

• raises issues of concern to Carterton’s young people and make these known to local decision makers such as Town, District and County Councillors and Members of Parliament

• acts as a forum for local service providers so that they can engage with the young people of Carterton and benefit from their views on the design and delivery of services.

• is an Advisory Committee to Carterton Town Council
