Community Safety Partnership

Thames Valley Police and West Oxfordshire District Council work together under the banner of West Oxfordshire Community Safety Partnership to tackle crime and disorder.
This partnership also includes regular engagement with local communities to determine the top priorities. The Carterton, Bampton and Burford Neighbourhood Action Group was formed five years ago and is led by local residents, working with key public agencies, to tackle the same local issues as the neighbourhood police team.

For more information on how crime and disorder is being reduced in West Oxfordshire please visit: www.saferwestoxon.co.uk

Neighbourhood Action Group

The Bampton, Carterton & Burford Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) was formulated in 2005. It consists of community members from Bampton, Carterton, Burford and surrounding villages as well as representatives from Cottsway Housing, the Community Safety Partnership, Thames Valley Police, OCC Youth Service and RAF Brize Norton.

The mission of the NAG is to make our community a safer place to live, work & visit and to help to maintain the low level of crime. The Neighbourhood Action Group tackles the issues raised by our communities in order to reduce crime, disorder and fear. It is a problem solving group consisting of representatives from the community as well as members from the town and district councils and Thames Valley Police.
