Welcome from the Mayor

Welcome to Carterton. I hope you find this guide a useful introduction to the town. You will find more details, including a calendar of events and a news page, on our web site at www.carterton-tc.gov.uk. Carterton is a relatively new town with a short history but we are the Mayorblessed with a lively community that is interested in and cares about all aspects of life here. If you are moving to Carterton I hope that you will choose to become involved in one of our many thriving clubs, organisations and charities. You can be sure of a friendly welcome.

The town is changing. New housing development means that we have new recreational facilities and the Town Council is working hard to attract new retail to the town centre. RAF Brize Norton is undergoing a huge transformation as it expands to take on those transferring from Lyneham. It is certainly a great honour for me to serve as Mayor at a time when so much is going on in our town.
Mayor

Cllr. Norman MacRae MBE
