Princes Park, Burntwood

Prince’s Park, Farewell Lane, Burntwood, is featured in the Guinness Book of Records for being the smallest park in the United Kingdom.

The park dates from 1863 and was created to commemorate the marriage of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales and Alexandra of Denmark. It contains three trees named Faith, Hope and Charity.

Burntwood Wakes Festival

The Town Council has organised the annual Burntwood Wakes Festival since 2005. The event takes place at the Burntwood Rugby Club over a summer weekend. The event comprised a “Wakes Unsigned” evening, a Family Fun Day and an evening “Proms in the Park” in 2008.
