Burntwood is a thriving community, with an electorate of 20,428 and a population approaching 30,000. It is situated just outside the West Midlands Conurbation on the fringe of Cannock Chase.

The coal industry is no longer the main source of employment, but this has been replaced with good quality industrial sites which provide a wide variety of industries and employment. The completion of the M6 Toll Road and the Burntwood Bypass provide excellent access to the country’s motorway network.

The Town has shopping facilities, a youth centre, public library, a magnificent new Leisure Centre and various parks and open spaces. Chasewater Country Park covers an area of 360 hectares and provides a host of attractions including wildlife, walking, cycling and bird watching. It is the home of the Forest of Mercia Innovation Centre and the Chasewater Railway Company and has clubs providing sailing, speedboat and water skiing facilities.

People visiting the area will find good quality private and social housing and an excellent choice of schools which, together with the vibrant community and plethora of sports, social and community groups, make Burntwood a very pleasant area in which to live.

attractive and varied housing
