Burgess Hill is the ideal base for visitors, with spectacular views of the South Downs National Park, beautiful gardens and countryside waiting to be explored, as well as ancient castles and attractions all nearby.

London and the seaside are also easily accessible. The town offers its visitors an excellent range of sport and leisure facilities. The Triangle Leisure Centre, opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 1999, has a 25 metre competition pool, Aztec Fun Pools and outdoor Lido.South Downs

The town’s parks and open spaces incorporating St John’s Park in the centre of town provide a range of facilities from skate park to tennis courts. Batchelors Farm and Bedelands Farm Nature Reserve provide wonderful open areas of unspoilt countryside. There is also the ‘Burgess Hill Green Circle Network’, a circular network of footpaths and bridleways around the town to walk and cycle and where appropriate ride horses.

When you arrive in Burgess Hill make the Tourist Information Centre your first port of call. Located in the town centre, the TIC provides a wide range of visitor information including advice and details on attractions, local events and public transport services as well as offering a ‘Book A Bed Ahead’ accommodation booking service. There is also a wide range of books, maps, postcards, souvenirs and gifts to purchase as well as theatre tokens.

How to find Burgess Hill
By Road Burgess Hill is connected to the A23 London to Brighton trunk road by the A2300 (Hickstead junction). The A272 east/west route through West Sussex and A27/M27 costal road linking Sussex to Hampshire are easily accessible.

By Rail Regular trains serve Burgess Hill from London Victoria/Brighton and Bedford/Brighton.

By Air Gatwick & Heathrow Airports are easily accessible.

By Sea Burgess Hill is a short road or rail journey from the nearby channel port of Newhaven.
