No two days are ever the same at Burgess Hill
Town Council’s Help Point! Centrally located in the town centre
and looking more like a shop than a local government building, residents
and visitors alike are able to access local government services,
health information and also tourist information.
The
Help Point provides a single point of contact for town, district
and county services in the town and is run by our friendly, knowledgeable
and professional team who always go the extra mile. Various ‘surgeries’,
provided by our partners, are held at the Help Point such as Housing/Council
Tax Benefits, Housing Advice, Pension Advice and Registration of
Births/Deaths. Further details on the ‘surgeries’ are
available at the Help Point.
We also have a dedicated Mobile Maintenance Team that undertakes
certain delegated ‘highways’ functions and provides
a ‘trouble shooting’ resource in the town. Residents
are able to report problems such as potholes and broken glass via
the Help Point and the Maintenance Team will inspect and undertake
the necessary remedial work.
As a networked Tourist Information Centre we book accommodation
for visitors and provide information on what to see and do in the
area. We take bookings for the tennis courts and community pavilions
in Burgess Hill and issue the keys for the pavilions. We act as
a ticket box office for local community events, the South of England
Show etc, and sell Theatre Tokens, walking and cycling maps/books,
postcards, postage stamps and gifts.
Whether you are already a resident, recently moved or thinking of
moving to Burgess Hill, or a visitor, the dedicated Help Point Team
are on hand to help with your enquiry.
