getting here is easy

By Road Bridport and West Bay has good road links and is situated on the A35 main trunk East to West route. In the east the A35 links with Dorchester, the county town, then onto the M27 to Southampton and the M3 to London. Yeovil is reached via the A37 link with Dorchester. In the west the A35 links with the A30/M5 to Exeter, Taunton, Bristol and the A38 to Plymouth. To the north it links with the A37 to Bristol via Beaminster (A3066) and Crewkerne (A356).

The B3157 coast road from Weymouth to Bridport hugs the Jurassic Coast and takes you through West Dorset’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

There are a number of car parks in and around the town centre including the Bridport Football Club long stay car park located near the River Brit and a pleasant riverside walk to the town centre.

By Rail There are no direct rail links to Bridport and West Bay but main line routes are easily accessed via:
Dorchester West - Bristol (First Great Western)
Dorchester South - Bournemouth, Southampton, London Waterloo (South West Trains)
Crewkerne - London Waterloo, Exeter, Plymouth (South West Trains)

By Bus & Coach Bridport’s bus station is handily situated adjacent to the town centre and reached via Tannery Road off West Street. There are regular services to Dorchester, Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Honiton and Exeter.
A new service the X53 runs the length of the Jurassic Coast from Bournemouth to Exeter and calls at Bridport and West Bay.
The 31 service runs from Axminster to Weymouth via Bridport and Dorchester providing immediate train links to the London Waterloo lines.

By Air The international airports of Exeter, Bristol, Bournemouth and Southampton are within easy reach.

By Sea Weymouth Condor Ferries provide a daily service from Weymouth to the Channel Islands and St Malo.
Poole Condor Ferries provide a daily service from Poole to the Channel Islands, Cherbourg and St Malo.
Brittany Ferries provide a daily service to Cherbourg.
Isle of Wight ferries provide a daily service from Poole to the Isle of Wight.

West Bay Rib and charter boats operate out of West Bay and provide boat trips along the Jurassic coast.
