South Northamptonshire Council has now opened a new office at the
Library in Manor Road.
Our opening hours in Brackley are 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. Monday
to Friday, where you can:
• book bulky waste collections
• raise a query about refuse and recycling collection, Council
Tax, Non Domestic Rates
• set up direct debits and make payments by credit card, debit
card and cheques
• apply for an AllPay card which will enable you to make cash
payments for council tax and business rates
• arrange appointments with our pest control service
• make arrangements to meet Benefits Staff for a more detailed
discussion.
• apply for a national bus pass
• make general enquiries about all council services
• access the council’s on-line services

As a result of local government re-organisation Brackley lost many
of its ancient rights as a Borough and became a Town Council on
1st April 1974. The Council consists of a Town Mayor and 14 other
Councillors from three wards, East, West and South. Currently these

• St. James’ Lake, off Hinton Road. (Fishing) •
Pocket Park, off Hinton Road (a quiet walk along a former railway
track).
Although the South Northamptonshire Council is the planning authority,
the Town Council is consulted on all planning applications.
