Brackley Carnival has been a major event in the town for many years.
In 2003 a new group of people in the community of Brackley took
on the organising of the Carnival and a few changes took place.
The venue for the event is now at Magdalen College School St Johns
Site. This site is superbly situated in the centre of town. We have
also changed the route of the procession and made it shorter than
before. As Brackley has grown so much over the years it is difficult
to carry on with the old route so it now comes directly through
the town where many people line the streets to watch it go by.
Not only do the committee organise the Carnival but they also organise
the Christmas Parade in conjunction with the Town Council Carol
Singing and the French & Continental Market which comes to the
town twice a year.
All the work and time the people in the committee spend organising
these events is voluntary and done for the community of the town
of Brackley.
With the support from local businesses, the schools and of course
the people in the community of Brackley and surrounding areas it
is hoped these events will continue for many years to come.
If you would like to join the committee or would like more information
please contact Brackley Town Council.
