Boston is an excellent base for boating and fishing. The River
Witham runs into Boston, while the tidal Haven meanders through
the town, past the Port of Boston and out to the Wash
Fishing - Angling is a popular sport in the Boston area. The inland
waterways in the Fens are well known amongst anglers for their bountiful
supply of coarse fish. Boston’s waterways in particular are
renowned for their big catches of pike, perch and bream.

Witham Way Country Park runs alongside the River Witham and has
habitats that attract a variety of wildlife and wildflowers. The
park is a short walk from the town centre and has paths suitable
for walking and cycling, as well as seating and picnic areas. There
is access and limited parking off Tattershall Road.
Havenside Nature Reserve is a great place to experience Lincolnshire’s
wildlife. There is a superb mix of rough grassland with scrub and
brambles, cattle grazed meadows, shallow seasonal ponds, estuary
and mud flats
Boston Marina is open to leisure craft and motor cruisers providing
moorings with water and electricity hookups, showers a chandler’s

If you want to relax and let someone else do the hard work, why
not take a trip with Maritime Leisure Cruises. They run river cruises
from May to September on a Wednesday and a Sunday. Sea trips out
