Boston is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding countryside.
The National Trust has several properties in the area. Tattershall
Castle, Gunby Hall, Belton House and Woolsthorpe Manor are all within
a 40-mile radius of Boston. For those interested in Stately Homes,
Belvoir Castle, Burghley House and Grimsthorpe Castle are also easily
accessible from Boston.
For children Stickney Farm Park has animals to feed and pet, and
the Fun Farm at Spalding is an indoor family entertainment centre.
The Butterfly Park at Long Sutton has something for all the family.
For those wishing to visit the seaside Skegness is only 23 miles
away. Here you will find award-winning golden sand, beachside amusements
and family attractions.
A short distance from Skegness is Bateman’s Brewery, which
has attractions for everyone, from brewery tours to a games area
with traditional pub games.
The cities of Peterborough and Lincoln are both less than an hours
drive away for those who enjoy retail therapy.
