Foreword

Welcome to the Official Beverley Town Guide, produced in partnership between Beverley Town Council and Beverley Renaissance Partnership.

This document is a local resource that we hope residents from across the area will find to be both useful and informative. Providing information about town and parish council responsibilities and activities, festival dates, a brief history of the town and useful contact information, we are sure it will be a vital document for many people, whether they are longstanding members of the community or new arrivals to the area.

Beverley, including Woodmansey and Molescroft, is a thriving and vibrant community. Not only does it have a rich historic and industrial heritage, but is also leading the way with regards to art and culture with a wide variety of popular festivals and events. It is people who make the community, ensuring that Beverley is a special place in which to live.

Beverley Westwood

From the Westwood area and town centre to Swinemoor and Cherry Tree Estates; Woodmansey Village and Lincoln Way to Butterfly Meadows and Molescroft, throughout the whole of the greater Beverley area, community groups are thriving and residents need not feel isolated or alone. There are some issues that still need addressing, as nowhere is totally perfect. By working together with residents, the three councils and the partnership can achieve much more for the town.

We hope that you find this town guide useful and that you continue to enjoy living in Beverley and the surrounding area for many years to come.
