Foreword

Welcome to the Official Beverley Town Guide, produced by Beverley Town Council and Beverley Renaissance Partnership.

Beverley This document is a local resource that we hope residents will find to be both useful and informative. Providing information about town and parish council responsibilities, festival dates, a brief history of the town and useful contact details. We are sure it will be a vital document for many people, whether they are longstanding members of the community or new arrivals.

Beverley, including Molescroft and part of Woodmansey, is a thriving and vibrant community with a long and interesting heritage. The town also acts as host to a wide range of festivals, markets and events throughout the year, ensuring there is something for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

From Westwood and the town centre to Swinemoor and Cherry Tree Estates; Woodmansey Village and Lincoln Way to Butterfly Meadows and Molescroft; throughout the whole of the greater Beverley area, community groups are thriving and people need not feel isolated or alone. To help residents to find sporting, arts, cultural, social and specialist interest groups and societies within the town, this new edition of the Guide includes more information of this kind.

We hope that this Town Guide remains of use and that you continue to enjoy living in Beverley and the surrounding area for many years to come.
