Early May Banbury Beer Festival

Second Sunday in June Banbury and District Show
A wonderful family day out. This popular annual event brings Spiceball Park to life with arena entertainment, stalls, dog show and much, much more.

Last Saturday in June Armed Forces Day - Freedom Parade
A chance to raise money for Help for Heroes and honour our current, future and past Service Personnel.

First Saturday in July Hobby Horse Festival

First Sunday in July Town Mayor’s Sunday in People’s Park
Banbury’s very own Nursery Rhyme ‘Ride a Cock Horse’ comes to life with hobby horse races and fun for all the family.

Third Sunday in August Four Shires Food Fair & Banbury Flower & Produce Show
Food galore, from home grown produce within the show itself, to an array of wonderful stalls and aromas to tempt all palates.

First Saturday in September Banbury Street Organ Festival & Town Criers’ Competition
The town comes alive with Criers from all over the country competing, against a background of traditional costumed Organ grinders with their authentic musical street organs, raising money for local charities.

Third Sunday in September Battle of Britain Parade & Service
A time to honour those who bravely fought in the Battle of Britain in 1940. Parade, Civic procession and church service.

First Sunday in October Banbury Canal Day
A celebration of Banbury’s canal with a gathering of boats from near and far, plus boat trips, entertainment and free fun for all the family. www.banburycanalday.co.uk

Second Weekend in October Folk Festival
A weekend of traditional music, acoustic concerts, folk clubs, folk theatre, Morris dancing workshops, story telling, song and music sessions, singing boat trips on the canal and a ceilidh, all held at various locations around the town. www.banburyfolkfestival.co.uk

Second Week in October Michaelmas Fair
The three day family event includes all the fun, thrills and spills of a traditional fair, with fairground rides, stalls and plenty to excite and occupy young and old alike, and is the town's largest street event of the year.

Sunday nearest 11 November Remembrance Day, Parade & Service
A chance to remember those who have given so much for this country in the past - Town Council and Royal British Legion working closely together.
Christmas Lights
Last Sunday in November Christmas Lights Switch On
Switching on the lights for the festive season is accompanied by an extravaganza of stage and street entertainment in Banbury Town Centre, with a firework finale.

First Saturday in December A Celebration of Christmas
A short candlelit concert, with Christmas Carols, music and readings raising money for the Royal British Legion.
