Location map and transport

Alton is at the centre of a modern communication network, which provides rapid access to the capital and major cities and facilities in South East England. The M3 / M25 / A3(M) / A31 / A32 road system enables London, Southampton, Portsmouth, Guildford, Winchester and the Solent together with London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airports to be reached within an hour. In addition Alton’s rail centre is the starting point of a direct line providing a fast and frequent service to London’s Waterloo Station. Stagecoach is the main provider of bus services in the area and several local coach companies such as Top Marks, based in Four Marks provides a wide variety of excursions - both short and long, as well as private hires.
