The main shopping area of Abingdon is situated in the Abbey Shopping
Centre (pedestrianised), Bath Street, High Street, Stert Street,
West St. Helen Street and East St. Helen Street. In this area you
will find a wide variety of national chain stores, small specialist
shops, coffee houses and restaurants.
On the Western outskirts of Abingdon there is a large out-of-town
shopping centre.
Market Day: Monday (weekly open-air market) in the Market Place.
Farmers’ Market: Third Friday of each month in the Market
Place.
French, Italian and Continental Markets are normally held between
March and October, in the Market Place.

A programme of events take place between May and September in the
